GIS stand for Geographic Information System.

1. Geographic: Coordinates : Example: Latitude and longitude coordinates that specify a location on the Earth’s surface.
2. Information: Attributes: Example: Attributes such as the name, size, and type of a park, which provide detailed information about geographic features.
3. System: Software: Example: GIS software like ArcGIS or QGIS, which is used to process, analyze, and visualize geographic data.

So, the terms “Coordinates,” “Attributes,” and “Software” correspond to the components Geographic, Information, and System, respectively, in the context of GIS.

In simpler terms GIS is a computer-based system where we collect, store, process, visualize (Map) and analyze geospatial data to take smart/informed decision.
